I continue to read this series for review on Booksmart. In this part of the series, Lara, the pathetic protagonist, becomes even more unlikable as she still will not share vital information with her partner that puts his life in mortal danger, repugnantly wallows in self-pity to the point of making the reader just about give up and toss the book, and, as an example of her being an FBI agent with awesome responsibility, continues to toss back straight whiskey despite being on call (quote from the book and keep in mind she is on call during a search for both a monstrous killer and a kidnapped child of her boss = "Hanging up, she tossed the phone on the counter and poured herself another glass of whiskey and sat
back down on the bar stool. Damn Moretti and his thugs. Was he the mastermind behind this terror and string of dead bodies on the
outside, or had someone else assumed his mantle? Was he the so-called Black Stamp Serial Killer?" Note She poured herself ANOTHER glass of whiskey and she's in call! What a reliable FBI agent!) A thoroughly disgusting central character, so how is the reader supposed to care about or enjoy this series?

Great next book of the series. All the books in the series kept me guessing and wanting to find out what was going to happen next.

This story gets deeper and deeper. Can't imagine where five more installments will go...love and hate it. Can't stop now !
Not bad for the next book in the series, not as fast paced as the other two. but well worth the price I paid. I'm going to start on the next one in the series, can't wait to see what happens next.
